Administrative law

AGS is by far the most significant litigator of proceedings in the Federal Court, the Federal Circuit Court and the High Court under the Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act 1977 (ADJR Act). We also have deep experience in representing Commonwealth decision-makers in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) and other merit review bodies.

We support a range of administrative decision-makers to discharge their functions effectively. We can help to prepare written statements of reasons in accordance with the AAT Act and the ADJR Act. We can also help prepare evidence and court documents in AAT and Federal Court proceedings, and instruct or appear in proceedings in appeals pursuant to s 44 of the AAT Act.
