This course is for employees who have attended our 'Introduction to FOI' course.

Course outline

The module explores the meaning of the term 'public interest' as used within the FOI Act. During the session, participants will work on hypotheticals which illustrate the workings of the public interest tests in different circumstances.

Objectives

Participants will gain a working knowledge of the meaning of the term 'public interest' and the policy behind its use in FOI legislation.

Presenters

Our presenters are AGS lawyers who have a great depth of knowledge of the government environment and who practise extensively in the areas of information access and administrative law.

Standard fee – $600 (inclusive of GST) per person.
