Deputy Chief General Counsel
Sacha has over 20 years of experience and practises in resources and energy law, environmental law, constitutional law, statutory interpretation and legislative development. He has particular expertise in the establishment and operation of multi-jurisdictional legislative schemes and in the law governing the offshore waters within Australia’s jurisdiction.
His principal clients include the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water; and the Department of Industry, Science and Resources.
Prior to working in AGS's Office of General Counsel, Sacha was General Counsel at the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science (2017–2018), and chief legal adviser to the Treasury (2011–2013).
