Senior General Counsel

Jesse is a Senior General Counsel in the Money, Services and Integrity team within the Office of General Counsel. He has a broad public law practice, with particular expertise in integrity law, fiscal policy, tax law, major legislative reform, and the creation of new Commonwealth bodies.

Jesse advises government clients on complex constitutional and statutory interpretation issues, including their application to significant financial transactions and Commonwealth investments. He also provides guidance on sensitive governance and integrity matters, such as the operation of the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013 (Cth).

Jesse has played a key role in developing major legislative reforms, including amendments to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), and in establishing new Commonwealth entities such as the National Anti-Corruption Commission and the Administrative Review Tribunal.
