Dylan’s principal areas of expertise are in constitutional law, statutory interpretation, legislative development and international law. His constitutional law practice covers the breadth of constitutional issues, including Commonwealth power, limitations on that power, and issues relating to the structure of the federation such as immunities.
Dylan’s extensive statutory interpretation experience covers law enforcement and criminal regimes, as well as resources, entitlements and health legislation. Dylan has advised multiple clients across the Commonwealth on the design of new primary legislation and amendments, both small and large, to existing legislation.
He is also experienced in advising on international law issues, including international law issues relating to Australia’s defence and international environmental commitments.
