Senior Executive Lawyer

Gavin is a senior member of AGS’s Constitutional Litigation Unit with more than 30 years’ litigation experience. He has acted in many significant and complex matters, including major constitutional litigation in the High Court, and was instrumental in the Commonwealth’s successful defence of the tobacco plain packaging legislation and the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey. Gavin also has extensive native title litigation experience, having led AGS’s national native title litigation practice for four years. He brings broad expertise across constitutional, native title, administrative law and statutory interpretation matters, and is highly regarded for his client-focused approach.
