Senior General Counsel

Elizabeth is a highly experienced public lawyer, with extensive expertise in providing advice to government on constitutional and statutory interpretation matters. 

She regularly advises on the Commonwealth financial framework, courts and tribunals, social security and entitlements, disability, education, and a wide range of other Commonwealth laws. Elizabeth has also provided constitutional advice and legal assistance in relation to a number of complex legislative projects, particularly in the areas of social security and disability. 

Elizabeth joined AGS in 2015. Previously, she practised in the Constitutional and Native Title Unit of the Crown Solicitor’s Office of NSW, and was an Associate to then Justice Susan Kiefel AC on the High Court of Australia. Elizabeth also holds a PhD in constitutional law from the University of Melbourne.
