Intellectual Property (IP) Forum 2014 – law, policy and practice
On Wednesday 30 April 2014 in Canberra at this forum, we will discuss key IP developments, government reforms and initiatives, including the implications for how the government manages its IP arising from the Australian Law Reform Commission's recent recommendations for reform of copyright exceptions and statutory licences, the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and the Personal Property Securities Register.
The Commonwealth's Statement of IP Principles and the Gov 2.0 Taskforce recommendations continue to be implemented with initiatives that promote open access to 'public sector information' and 'open data' throughout government, including cloud computing and mobile apps, that raise interesting IP and related issues for government.
