AGS supports Australian Pro Bono Centre

AGS supports Australian Pro Bono Centre AGS has continued to provide valuable support to the Australian Pro Bono Centre (the Centre) with the placement of Qi Qi Ren, a lawyer in our Sydney Dispute Resolution team. Qi Qi started her full-time placement in early January and will be working with the Centre until the end of this month.

The Centre was established in August 2002 and is a centre of leadership for pro bono legal services, aiming to grow participation and excellence in pro bono services within Australia.

AGS has, through our pro bono program, supported the Centre for many years, including working with them on a variety of publications, participating in stakeholder and panel discussions as well as providing legal placements.

Qi Qi has gained a variety of valuable experience working with the Centre, with some of her tasks including helping on long term projects such as the Justice Project Pro Bono Tool, assisting with presentations aimed at activating the legal profession to be involved in pro bono work, engaging with law students and early career lawyers as well as drafting Centre publications.
