Who should attend

This course has been designed for employees who have the responsibility of entering into contracts and managing contracts, including contract administration staff who report to contract managers.

Course outline and objectives

In this course we will discuss:

  • how contracts are formed
  • contract preparation
  • what happens if someone breaches the contract.

There will be exercises during the course that will tease-out some of the relevant principles in a practical context for course participants.

You will gain an understanding of how contracts are made and specific rules for the Commonwealth and Commonwealth bodies. You will also learn about how contracts are varied and what options are available if there is a breach of a contract by one of the contracting parties.

Our presenters are experienced lawyers from AGS Commercial who specialises in drafting contracts and advising clients on their rights and obligations under contracts.
