This course has been designed for Commonwealth employees.

Course outline and objectives

This 1 hour session will look at the different types of legal entity that Commonwealth entities are likely to encounter in procurement, funding and general contracting. Such entities include public and private companies, incorporated associations, partnerships, trusts and sole traders. The session provides tips on how to identify the entity, how to correctly describe the entity in contract materials, and how to conduct some basic due diligence on the entity. The aim is to ensure attendees are equipped to identify issues that might arise depending on who you are contracting with.

Presenters

Our presenters are AGS lawyers who have a great depth of knowledge of the government environment, and who practise extensively in this area of law. They illuminate important principles with real-world examples, encourage active discussion of the issues and lead participants through practical problem-solving exercises.

This is a 1 hour course.

Cost

Standard fee – $170 (inclusive of GST) per person. No more than 20 people will be accepted on each course, and courses will only be conducted if we receive sufficient nominations.
